A Cave

A Cave do Entulho is an independent music discovery project.

  • It is not a playlist.
  • It is not an algorithm.
  • It is not a startup.

No algorithm. No filter. No leash.

It is a reaction.

It was born as an answer for people who are tired of mainstream platforms, invisible algorithmic control, manufactured recommendations, and the constant feeling that you are listening to what someone else decided for you.

There is no “personalized discovery” here.
There is manual digging.

We dig up forgotten demos, dirty EPs, crooked singles, and records that never had a marketing budget. Good things. Strange things. Things that never asked any algorithm for permission.

A Cave exists because music is not metrics.
It is not retention.
It is not big data.

It is context. It is noise. It is intention.

  • Human curation. Always.
  • No infinite feeds.
  • No contracts, no payments, no rankings.
  • Space for local scenes, small bands, and projects outside the norm.
  • Zero algorithms. Zero surveillance. Zero control.

How to request access

A Cave does have automatic sign-up.

After that you will receive an email with your login details.

Install an app

A Cave works through apps compatible with Navidrome (Subsonic).

Navidrome is free software. No trackers. No surveillance. No hidden algorithms.

Configure the app

After receiving your details by email:

Open the app and add a new server / account.

You will need to fill in:

  • Host / Server URL: https://entulho.acave.pt
  • Username: the one you chose
  • Password: the one sent to you

Save. Connect. Explore.

If it does not work:

  • Make sure you copied everything correctly
  • Check whether the app is in Subsonic mode
  • Send an email, then wait (read the reasons below…)

A Cave is not instant. But it is real.

Bands / Artists

A Cave is not a distributor. It is not a label. It is not a monetization platform.

It is a space for sharing music.

Before sending your music, there are three important things:

  • You pay nothing.
  • You receive nothing.
  • There are no hidden contracts.

It is simple: sharing and promotion, with no money involved.

What to send

To make your music available on A Cave, send:

  • MP3 files
  • With properly organized ID3 tags (artist, album, year, cover art, etc.)
  • A simple statement authorizing A Cave do Entulho to make the songs available

Optional:

  • Song lyrics (We may try to add them, but it is not guaranteed.)

Note:

The process is manual. It is done by one person. That person has work, bills to pay, and a life outside A Cave.

The more organized the material is, the faster it gets into A Cave.

Statement template

You can copy, fill in, and send something like:

I, ******, representing ******, declare that I authorize A Cave do Entulho to make the submitted songs available through its platform for listening by users.

I further declare that I hold the rights to the submitted works or that I have authorization to make them available.
